Lazy Monday at The Ox House

Well Meg and Harry brought us to this place for a celebratory glass of wine when we got engaged last year. So on a Bank Holiday Monday, with all our spring cleaning jobs done and a long stroll in the fresh air conquered we decided to pop through to Northleach for another visit.

Pub Gardens in The Cotswolds

We count ourselves very lucky living in a beautiful part of the world. An area  with its very own smorgasbord of successful pubs to pick from. In fact, sometimes we find it hard to choose!

Summer may feel like it has come to an end now but we've had a good run this year and there is nothing we've enjoyed more than soaking up the sun in a beautiful beer garden.

Here, are just a few of our favourite pubs we've visited this summer because of their outside areas... weather it's a lush garden, a pretty courtyard or a decked out drinking area, we love these Cotswold pubs for many reasons.

The Wheatsheaf, Northleach

For a while now, every time I've spoken to anyone about good restaurants/pubs in The Cotswolds (and there are many) The Wheatsheaf in Northleach has cropped up. People are really rating this country pub in a small Cotswold town tucked away off the busy A40 from Oxford to Cheltenham.

So after a busy week at work and with little energy to cook but in need of good food to start the weekend, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to find out for ourselves what all the fuss is about.
