The Montpellier Cafe

If you read our blog regularly or follow us on Twitter & Instagram, you'll know by now, we like to eat! & drink coffee. A lot! We're so lucky living in Cheltenham (well, just outside now) that we have an abundance of brilliant coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. We're spoilt for choice. But when we saw a foodie snap taken by friend Angie B on Instagram, we were excited to try out the newest cafe in town. The Montpellier Cafe

The Montpellier Cafe opening in October by ex-teacher, Julia Amos and previous head chef at The Monptellier Brasserie, Lee Gallimore and it seems word is spreading about this new gem in lovely Montpellier. Located down stairs in the Montpellier Courtyard, it's great to see this little part of town busy and bustling again. The Courtyard has some lovely residence such as famous Tokyo Tattoo, Flynns Bar & Brasserie, childrens clothing boutique Carousel & beauticians Beau Amis. If only we still lived just around the corner, we're sure The Montpellier Cafe would be our permanent hang out. Open from 8am for all day breakfast and into lunch till early evening, they've also started opening for dinner on Friday & Saturday nights offering some amazing deals for seriously delicious food. They're bringing fish & chip Friday back!

We first went to The Montpellier Cafe for a girlie catch up lunch after hot yoga at Ella & Fleur (see our blog post all about our new addiction here). We ended up staying for hours, we felt so relaxed and couldn't get enough of the scrummy flat whites. We love that you're offered coffee in a cup or a mug - mug, ever time! The stylish, clean Italian looking decor is so inviting. As you walk in you're greeted by a huge shiny red coffee machine so you instantly know you're in good hands. There is lovely local art hanging on the walls, pretty gingham napkins, friendly staff and a relax atmosphere. We're already looking forward to visiting in the summer when the alfresco dinning can be taken advantage of. It's going to be a perfect people watching spot.

Onto the food, we thought we'd fancy a breakfast after our workout but the wide choice of tempting dishes and daily changing specials took our fancy instead. The menu has the perfect mix of healthy options, classics and the type of dishes you just crave from time to time. We could have picked everything! The food was delicious and the whole experience couldn't fail to put a smile on your face. Fresh ingredients, yummy coffee and great service. What's there not to like?

Since our lunch trip we've also tested the delicious breakfast. Eggs Bendict!! The perfect hangover cure after Meg's birthday celebrations, along with fresh OJ & lots of extra shot coffees. Again, we could've sat chatting and eating all day.
While we were enjoying our Sunday brunch, another couple next to us were tucking into their Sunday Roast which looked incredible! It's got to be next on our list to try.

The Montpellier Cafe have it all right! They are serving REALLY good food, really well, in a lovely setting. You must check it out for yourself!
