We have been lucky enough over the past few years to attend many a party, festival or market with good food, good drink and good fun! As we get deeper into our wedding planning we have started to realise that mobile caterers found in the Cotswolds are some of the best. We are truly spoilt for choice! The following six are some of our faves and we think you will be able to see why. They all cater for way more options that we have spoken about below, so give them a call. We like them because they are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. Just what you need in the stresses and excitement of party planning.
We love Simpsons fish and chips! We have a tradition of picking up a Simpsons take away and taking it up to Cleeve Hill on bonfire night (best view of fireworks in the Cotswolds!). So we were delighted to attend a party at Donnington Brewery last week to find Simpsons have gone mobile! Fish and chip vans seems to have become popular at events in the last decade but Simpsons are different. The van is no more. Replaced by a gorgeous rustic set up of a wooden bar tastefully decorated with Union jacks, festoon lights and apple boxes full of lemons and potatoes. We love the nod to the rock and roll past of husband and wife owners, found in the decor and uniform. Especially the girls wearing red bandanas and a rouge lip, Bonnie's trademark accessory. I haven't even mentioned the fish and chips! They are crunchy, tasty, not greasy and Award winning. Non of this inner city, fish and chip replicas, one taste of a portion of Simpsons finest and you could be by the Great British sea side! Delicious.

The Wild Oven
Anyone for Jack Wills' jackets as uniform, toasted marshmallows or wood fired pizzas at your party? Well, After trawling the internet and creating countless Pinterest boards for what we wanted for our wedding this October, I (Millie) came across The Wild Oven on Instagram (the power of social media). The pictures of the racing green Land Rover defender, with a Union Jack roof really caught my eye. When we saw the defender had been converted into a wood fired oven we were sold. Owners, Danni and James believe in authentic, local, seasonal and sustainable food. Many of their ingredients come from their own farm and they source all their wood from British fallen trees. For events of most sizes they offer wood fired meats and sharing feasts, anything from pizzas to pulled chicken. I just love the time and thought that has gone into creating something rather special, turning event food into theatre. The van itself, the warm heat, smell and sounds coming from the fire. The romantic use of festoon lighting and even the wax jackets and hunter wellies. Danni and James have filled a huge gap in the market in and around the Cotswolds for bringing the best produce from British farms to life and the best thing is, they have done it right!
Our lovely friends who got hitched last summer first introduced Camper Vin to us. We fell in love with the beautiful post box red 1973 converted VW van. The VW has been lovingly transformed into a quirky vintage bar. These guys are exactly what you want from a bar, knowledgable, professional, friendly and above all fun. They become part of the party and the fact you can help create the bar list adds a personal touch. The team will put together a bespoke cocktail menu, recommend a selection of wine and spirits and as a winter warmer around Christmas mulled wine is on the menu. In addition to the camper CamperVin had 5 different bars you can choose from, so if your event isn't suitable for a vehicle, get in touch with them to see what else they can offer. Even better Camper Vin does not charge within 50miles of Cheltenham, subject to a really reasonable minimum bar spend, making it an easy choice! (Image from @campervin Twitter)

A mobile café serving artisan coffee and specialist teas and hot chocolate. What makes this special is that it is in a French vintage Citroen Hy which has been beautifully restored by owner Simon Morton. C'est tres jolie! Love the idea of bringing a little bit of France to liven up your after dinner drinks at a wedding or party. We love coffee and tea in the UK... Why should it be made boring?! Bravo Simon.
Not so local but worth a mention just because of our over powering love with gin & tonic. I (Meg) stumbled across The Travelling Gin Company on a wedding blog a few months ago and now can't vision any other drinks provider at our wedding next summer. Two chaps from London serving G&T's from the baskets on their vintage bikes. So simple with the perfect amount of quirkiness and from the look of their Instagram, their gin cocktails looks deliciously impressive! I'll be in touch soon TGC.
